Dead Cylinder Or Injector Seal Leak

Somebody took a look at my car 89 GXE 188K miles and indicated they thought I had a bad/dead cylinder.

Somebody else said they thought it might be a injector seal leak. Thinking it could be a seal leak in the the fuel injector seal.

I'm running on 5/6 for now but may actually try get more miles out of it. A compression check should rule out the bad injector problem, correct?

Thanks in advance, wish I had found this when it was warm out.

Try having this person run a compression test. That will tell you if the car has a dead cylinder or not.

Since you have access to the front injectors you can try unplugging one at a time while the engine is running and if you notice no change in engine idle speed, then that will indicate a bad cylinder.

Chances are it'll be a dead injector, with all those miles one or more will be bad.
