Chevy's New Malibu, Maybe The HID Theft Will Stop Now

This is the New Malibu from Chevy, You think the 02-03 headlights look similar. The Crooks may drop the Max lights and go rackup on some of these NEW MALIBU

Only if they're held in there with $0.08 plastic tabs. It's a crime of opportunity and Nissan gave thieves plenty of that... it's as bad as if they used that stunt glass that breaks when you breath on it for the side windows. The plastic makes it too easy.

Not that out here in the country we're immune, but I do feel bad for you city guys.

The new Malibu - yet another "imitation Maxima." The first imitation Maxima is the Audi A6. Smoke 'em when you see 'em.

Yeah a good number end up in the 2K-2K1 maxes, but I bet a good number are cannabalized for the bulbs and ballasts. Since they are both contained in the same assembly it is real easy to steal and way cheaper than buying a HID kit.

Are the Malibu lights true HID or do they just look like it? Ugly car though.

You are incorrect, sir! The reason the 2K2+ HIDs are so popular for theives is because the bulbs and ballasts are universal and can be used in other vehicles. Considering the price of the bulbs alone, the housing is just for show.
