3 options of Motors....help decide

ok trying to decide what to do, now that TurboMax needs a new motor im trying to decide what to do...help me please...

Option 1
stock motor, turbo, stock ECU, cartech FMU stock injectors

Option 2
stock motor, turbo, JWT ECU, 300ZX injectors

Option 3
VQ30DET motor, turbo, JWT ECU, 300ZX injectors

i dunno!!!
option 1 would give more power over option 2. Option 3 would prolly get the most power but more costly and time consuming

regardless of options, i think i will do a VQ35DET project sometime in the future

THANKS!

The VQ30DET has 370cc injectors so you wont need the 300zx ones.

What's wrong with Arias pistons? Me wanna get some soon! You should just go straight for "stock" VQ35DET swap!

Mardi suggested a great combo...its affordable, flexible, and probably provides the most margin for error without catostrophic(msp?) failure. Trust me when I say that unless you are polishing someone bizzallz at JWT then it will be more of a waste of time, effort, and money. If none of this appeals to you then you could just modify option 1 to include a set of upgraded injectors. But really what do I know.
P.S. Tilley, as soon as my motor takes a crap on me i'll be hitting you up for a turbo....

why would i need to polish someones ballz at JWT? i dont get it....why waste of time effort and money? wouldnt option 1 with upgraded injectors basically be option 2? oh well.....stock motor is gonna go in, juss gotta decide what else to do.

Option 1
stock motor, turbo, stock ECU, cartech FMU stock injectors
depending on the turbo used, won't the stock injectors be way to small? At 4 bar fuel psi the 259cc injectors should be good for maybe 260-290hp @ 90% DC (I'm sure you know this already ).
Option 2
stock motor, turbo, JWT ECU, 300ZX injectors
If you aren't going for max power, this might be the best alternative. Their turbo program for the SR20 and VG30 can't be beat for those who don't like to tune. I've personally driven a turbo se-r with that same setup as option 2. The car had better driveability than my se-r LOL.
Option 3
VQ30DET motor, turbo, JWT ECU, 300ZX injectors
The DET should come with 370cc injectors. Hell if you could get the DET ECU you could use that. However you might be stuck with a 109mph speed limiter. Since you need a new motor get a DET and swap over all your USDM sensors and it should be fine. Besides the DET might have beefier internals than a DE would. Well at least that is the case for the SR20s and VG30s.

Cliff notes: Get the DET period.

Its a little more work than swapping sensors the block, front and rear timing cover are useless in a maxima.

Is the DET the same block or is it a different block? For the SR20DET the avenier/bluebird is basically the same as the SR20DE. However the GTiR DET has a slightly different cylinder head, ITBs, beefier crank/rod bearings. Also when you say rear timing covers are you refering to the cover for the left cylinder head + bank?

What happened to that built motor you had already built up? The one that caused a lot of problems but ended up working in the end?

I was really excited about that engine!
