how in the hell do these things go on? The directions I got we're complete trash. The clips dont seem to be long enough. The visor didnt have a year on it it just said "MAXIMA"... perhaps its a 5th gen, are they different? If you have detailed instructions on how to put these on please reply thanks

Did you buy one from nissan, or did you get one from pepboys or somewhere like that? I got mine from pepboys and all you hade to do was buy one that was long enough, they don't make one for a maxima or any other car from pepboys you just have to find one that fits. The pepboys one has two sided tape on it and all you have to do is pill the tape off and then stick it where you want it. I don't know anything about the nissan one. I would just stick some tape on the end and put it up there if you have a nissan one hope this helps.

If you got the deflector from Nissan it came with several clips: for the Maxima, the Pathfinder and Altima. Using the Maxima clips worked fine for me.

Clip Issue

I have a 95 SE and got a Nissan OEM one and I had to use the 240SX clips the Maxima ones were too short. I hope this helps.

I have the Nissan one too and at least for me it was a ***** to get those clips on. It took me like 30 mins to install the thing.
If you have the Nissan one, maybe you should try Cutlr7's trick of using the 240 clips.

yea i got it

The clips sucked, I got it on though. It's the nissan one and I used the maxima clips. It was a pain in the *** to get the screw through the clip (very short), it took me and my friend like 10-15 minutes to get it on. It looks pretty nice IMO. Also blocks alot of air noise when sunroof is opened.

Deflector..

It's a ***** to clean. I used to have one on my car, i took it off. It will trap dirt underneath that rubber part eventually, and it will scrape your paint. Youll either have to scrub like a **** to clean it up (cleaner wax/fine cut polish) .. or sooner or later, youll have lil chip spots. (i have some)

Im referring to the nissan one, btw.

Just fyi :>

damn

how about every weekend when i wash my car blasting it with a high power hose from the inside out? Maybe it'll blast the junk out from the rubber.
