Instead of a radar detector, how about a "jammer"??

Ok, after reading all the hype about detectors, I was surprised only one person mentioned the jammer(vito1281). I have heard about the Phazer II specifically for quite some time, but have been unsuccessful at finding any independent reviews to see if the thing really works.

I would much rather have a "jammer" as opposed to a detector providing the jammer works. Does ANYONE know whether or not these things really work??

Here are a few links to other supposed jammers:

I have an RMR-C302, Rocky mountain radar's jammer/detector. It isnt active jamming, so it really does next to nothing IMO, but I have yet to be pulled over for speeding or anything for that matter since I got it.

As far as I remember, Active jamming is in violation of Federal Laws.
Passive jamming is pretty much useless.

I remember some reviews at radartest.com -- not sure -- just google.

The verdict was unanimous that passive jamming does not work.

Get a good detector and drive with your brains - that will keep off the tickets !

Exactly right. Active jamming violoates FCC laws, particularly part 15 regarding interference.

And the fact that the military would really be ****ed off is there are a bunch of cars/trucks running around messing up their electronics. Hell, back in the 60's there were some garage door openers that would interfere with the radar guidance of some missiles and aircraft. That had to suck being the pilot of those planes...
