I need Instructions for installion of CAI

Im planning on buying a Place Racing Cold Air intake for my 90 maxima. I was wondering does anyone have instructions for installation? Do I have to drill a hole in through my fender to get the cold air? And does anyone know where i can get a heat shield for it? Thaks

You can buy a K&N drop in filter and have no prob. Or you can go look for an MAF adapter to fit the cone filters.

This would be your best bet tho.

sure..

1. get a small piece of metal to use for a bracket.
2. open the hood.
3. look around the FREAKING ENGINE BAY AND THINK ABOUT WHERE YOU COULD ATTACH A BRACKET TO HOLD IT DOWN!
4. if you're incapable of that, but a real intake kit that comes with the bracket and instructions already in the box.

Re: I need Instructions for installion of CAI

Trying to get a CAI for your '90 MAX?? GOOD LUCK!!!!
I recently cancelled an order for a Place Racing CAI from Custom Maxima after waiting 5 months for it!
But that ain't nothin'. Warpspeed Performance has some of the highest quality products at prices 25%-35% lower than they should be - complete with all hardware & instructions. Their "Y" pipe was an awesome purchase for me, however, they haven't got a clue about their Cold Air Intakes. I placed an order for one LAST YEAR - 50 weeks ago! I gave them a month and a half and then I followed through for 5 weeks before initially giving up. I called again before ordering from Custom Maxima and I called again 2 weeks ago but haven't gotten a response yet. Sure they must be busy and the CAI for a '90 Max isn't exactly an "anchor" product for them, but if they can no longer obtain an advertised product, they should TELL THE CUSTOMER & DELETE THE ADVERTISEMENT - duh?
If their other products weren't so great, I'd be ****ed!
As far as insulating the CAI, I'm sure Home Repot or bLowes must have some kind of insulation you can use on the pipe - if you ever get one!

Anyway, GOOD LUCK!!
