having a hell of a time getting my corner lamps out.help!

Ok, I'm not dumb and I can follow directions and have done everything on them but I cant get my corner lamps out for anything. I am not sure what I'm exactly looking for that is a ball and socket. I have done everything and tried getting a flat head in every damn spot it will fit. Can someone help or even have a pic of what I'm suppose to be looking for. You think that after 4 years of a good college education I could figure this out!

I almost did that from frustration but held back when I thought of the money I would be spending to replace a two broken corner lamps.

I found if you stick the screwdriver directly on the mount (where the corner lense meets the frame) and then wedge it out a little . . . POP it comes out easier. Just get enough leverage, and be careful not to crack your headlight houseings!

spray WD-40 in there first, let it sit for a couple of minutes, then rock it side to side, then wedge the screwdriver in there, and twist.

maybe it was a bad idea, but i took a big wrench and wedged it in there. I found that the larger object I used the easier it came out (i've taken them off a couple times).

Of course, that WD-40 idea is a really good idea. I wish I had thought of that. I didn't break anything, just bent some plastic back there, but nothing that affected anything.

good luck

I have the opposite problem, they wont stay in! If I hit a bump hard enough they pop out the socket!

you dont need to take out the lens to get to the bulb. if you got small enough hands you can just reach below the back of the lens and pull out the socket that holds the bulb in.

I broke the socket on one of mine changing the bulbs from clear to amber. But superglue seemed to fix it fine. Let's hope I don't have the change the bulbs again...

Isn't there a screw that holds the corner lamp in place that you loosen from under the hood?

Yes it is difficult to get them off the first time. But don't worry, it gets easier.
