Also, what a lot of experienced Maxima owners have noticed is that the knock sensor code usually doesn't mean the knock sensor has failed. I believe they call it a shadow code or something like that. Try cleaning the O2 sensor first, reset code. See if the CES light comes on again.

I bought mine from expressautoparts.com last month for $107.xx shipped. If you clean out your 02 sensor and you still have a KS code then I suggest you get it from them. They are the cheapest I found. The only code I pulled was 0304, even after resetting my ecu several times. So I just went ahead and bought it, car feels better now. No more codes. One thing, when I was looking at my stock sensor(had small cracks on it) and the new Bosch sensor, they looked identical. Every #, word, and marking are the same. I know some of our oem sensors are Bosch, maybe this one is too.

From my limited experience, you should clean the O2 sensor, then replace if necessary.
If you get the 0304 code by itself is the only time you should replace the KS. Most likely when you get the O2 sensor repaired, the 0304 code will dissapear at the same time.
If you lose the O2 code and STILL get the 0304, then replace the KS.
But a KS Code with an O2 code probably means only the O2 sensor is bad, not the KS.
