New pics & new wheels

Spring has finally arrived here in WNY. Spent the morning removing my UDP and the afternoon hand washing and waxing the car for the first time since fall. Before doing so I put my new wheels on.

I wasn't a huge fan of bronze wheels...but I got a deal I couldn't pass up. 17"X7.5" Rota Battles (Gramlight replicas?) with 225/45/17 Kumho 712's for under $400.

For you guys with wheels without center caps...do you do anything to mask the appereance of the hub? Mine are rusty (again, WNY winter). The rear ones I'm sure I could paint, but what about the front? Anyone think of anything?

I want 235/45/17's, but I think I'm going to wait until these tires are shot.

Now, we start to work on installing the supercharger!

Car looks sweet, I like it alot.

Yes those are Gramlight replicas, and dude, your rotors are rusty Haha JK, mine look like that after I wash it too. As for the axle nuts in front, and the bronze caps in back, I used a stiff wire brush on them to get any rust or corrosion off and then sprayed them black. This is the only pic I have of it after I painted them. Not that great but you can see them a little. BTW I think you should spray your AGXs black, but maybe that's just me.

Have you tried to take the axle nut off after painting it? Wouldn't that make it even more difficult?

I don't really care about the color of the struts. Its the little bit of color that the car has!

That's why I went with them. Wasn't my first choice in color, but for the price...

Yes I took one off since they've been painted, wasn't a problem. I didn't put a whole can on it, just a quick squirt to make it black.

Wonderful. As luck would have it I just bought some engine primer and black paint yesterday for the SC piping and didn't use much at all.

To top it off I just ordered black lugs. (I only had 19 from the guy...and I don't want to drive around with a stock acorn on and scratch the rim everytime I have to take it off.)

Sounds like a sweet deal, and best of all, they look great on your car! Not a fan of bronze wheels either, but yours look real nice.

Looks good, but they're Rota Attacks not Battles.

Good for you. I could really care less about how they look, I'm more concerned with performance.
