Ours is 10.0:1. Talk to Tilleys99, he's done the conversion to DET.

The VQ30DET definitely has a 9:1 compression ratio. I used the pistons, rings, and valve springs from the DET in my DE. Clark at JWT told me that's all I needed from that motor because the rest of the DE internals are just as strong!

so if i have to pistons, rings, valve springs, turbo and exhaust manifold, i can do the conversion right???
how much would it cost??

Unfortunately no. Since the VQ30DET is a used in rear wheel drive cars, the exhaust maifold won't work. The blower itself you could probably use, but you have to create custom piping to use it. About the same cost as buing a kit.....

so i guess it will be easier to custom a turbo then...
since it is not an easy job to do the switch...
