Checked my vacuum today...
As some of you might know...i made a thread awhile back about how "slow" my car has felt lately. it started feeling like this a few monthes ago when i got the CEL for the EGR temp sensor. i reset the ecu, didn't change the sensor, and the light never came back on but the car has felt slower ever since....
fast forward to today.....i check the vacuum and its at 22psi but flutters between 22 down to 21. i dont know if that is normal so post your thoughts.
i also noticed something else. i've always had this constant "ticking" noise that sounds like a clock. well if you have the car on and completely warmed up, you can put your head down by the filter and hear this "Tick, bump bump, Tick, bump bump"
i also hear the EXACT same noise when i check the ECU for codes. why would it be doing this while the car is running? i usually only hear that noise when i turn the screw on the ECU to the bumpstop to get codes.....

As for the ticking, I hear it too when I'm checking codes on the ECU.
As for your cars absolute lack of power, here's something to consider. Your car has had a ton of down time lately. Haven't there been multiple instances where you've reset the ECU and/or disconnected the battery? I can tell a HUGE difference in part-throttle and WOT acceleration (lack of) when I've either reset the ECU or unplugged the battery. It seems to take 3-4 days before the car finally feels like it's back to normal. How many days did your car run between problems?
One of these days I'll have to drive your car and I can give you my opinion.

my car would go a few days or so without my mechanic driving it for more than 10-15 minutes at a time. i tried reseting the ECU and it didn't change anything.
