When I was dropping my car off today another guy with a 5th gen GXE had his in for a dash rattle. Apparently he'd been in two prior times. He told them if they couldn't fix it this time then they needed to replace his dash. After he left I told them my dash rattled when I hit speedbumps at 90 so they should replace mine too. I understand being upset about rattles, but jeezus dood, they're trying.

True.. it's probably not the service department's fault -- the car shouldn't have started rattling to begin with. But I DO understand his frustration... a flagship of the Nissan line should not have rattles like this. Nissan should really invest a little more into its fit & finish.

My passenger seat squeaks like a mouse on speed when someone's sitting in it. I mentioned it to the service manager when I brought my car in, I could tell he just didn't even want to deal with it. At the time, I just didn't feel like getting into it with him so I just figured I'd take care of it myself. For an almost $30k car, I shouldn't have to be running around trying to stop rattles & squeaks.

The guy may have been a jerk about it, but I'm glad to see someone fighting them. Maybe if the dealers get enough people complaining and demanding these things be fixed, they'll in turn put more pressure on Nissan, so they'll finally address these issues.

I agree that a 25k+ car shouldn't rattle/squeak/bang but they were trying to help him and he was just being an @ss. He also complained about his door squishing a bit when his leg leaned on it. I mean come on.. if it didn't squish then he'd complain about it being too firm.
