02 max back from dyno

Well, I'm not pleased, but at least I have an idea of what I need to do to get the numbers better. 3rd run was the best with ~195hp / ~211tq. This is with UDP, Frankencar, WSP Y and B with custom 2.5" rear section to stock muffler. I'm running pretty rich down low and pretty lean up top, but I'm falling flat on my face at 5200rpm. I'll post the graph as soon as I get back there with a floppy to pick up a copy. Can one of you host the graph for me?

Even if it is an automatic, with those mods, those numbers are pretty bad... and the 5200 RPM drop off is not a good thing at all (you should be pulling strong to at least 6000)

That's terrible!!! With those mods, all you're getting is ~195hp / ~211tq?!?! Have you run your 2K2 @ the track yet?? I'm just curious as to what times you get.

yeah it's an auto.. (might not be for long). I've got to go back this afternoon and pick up a copy of the graphs. We were looking at them there and it was suggested that some of the high end drop could probably be due to ignition problems (spark plugs possibly). I've been running denso iridiums for about 12-15k now and last check about 4k miles ago and they were already looking a bit nasty. Just for good measure though I went and picked up another set of ngk platinums to keep things about stock there. Seeing as I tossed out the air scoop from the stock airbox out a long time ago, I'm thinking about relocating my battery to the trunk to get it out of the way of the filter.. I went in expecting to see at least 210hp/220tq, and the optimistic side of me wants to think that I'll be there once I get things squared away with whatever problems I have. If someone hosts the graph for me, I'll have it in about an hour or two

Ummm...so on what dyno? They are not all the same, you know. If thats on a Dyno Dynamics dyno, then thats not bad at all, but if thats on Dynojet, then that is really sad. I dont understand why people post dyno numbers without saying what kind of dyno it is. Different dynos give different readings. Dyno Dynamics read the lowest (and are the most acurate for measuring gains from what I understand), Dynapack reads higher, then Mustang, and Dynojet reads the highest. HP in the 190s on a Dyno Dynamics is in the 220s on Dynojet.

Something is seriously wrong. Don't people get stock numbers that high on Dynojet?

I dunno what the switch over point is for the 2k2 but it's around 5500 for 2k and 2k1's. Wild guess but at 5200 that kinda dip, i'd check out the VIAS.

I second that. Your power should not fall off like that. Do you feel/hear the variable intake when you drive?

There is either something wrong with the DYNO or your car dude. I was at 201HP bone stock.
