leaky sunroof
leaky sunroof
I took my 03 GLE to a carwash Sunday to get rid of the road salt from the bottom of the car. I noticed a small leak from the sunroof right above the left edge of the front passenger seat. Instead of heading straight to the dealership service, what is the next best thing to do? My car has gone through heavy rain and spray washes from a garden hose without problems, so it must be the jet spray from the car wash that caused the leak. I have another Max GLE with sunroof and had taken it to the same car wash many times without incident. So it seems like a manufacture defect. Anyone with the same problem?
there is a soft rubber surround around the sunroof.. I you see a gap or the rubber is pinched somewhere, it needs to be adjusted (really easy to do).. if it seems 'centered' and there are no gaps, then its fine. It will leak with pressure. In fact you can press it with enough force to see a gap, which is normal. It shouldnt leak under normal rain.. however, its designed to leak *alittle bit*. there are drains that run down the apillar. even a big leak will not flood your car, but if the drains get plugged, you will have a serious mess..

I've seen a post last year about clearing the drains ... could you resolve their location?
