2k3 Idle Stumble

Evey so often I get a a momentary rough idle or stumble. My dealer says this is normal but sure doesn't feel normal. Has anyone experienced this and was there a solution? Was also wondering if the new ECU update might fix this(?). Car only has 5000 miles on it and I always clean the throttle body at each oil change.

There is an ECU software upgrade, check back a couple pages. People had positive experiences with it.

I have the same issue, but I thought it was me. My car only has 2900 miles and it idles silent most of the times, but every once in a while you hear it a little and you feel the idle.

i think because of the high compression engine, the extra cooling fan kicks in a bit loud....

This is a pretty common complaint from the 3.5VQ guys. My 2k2 does it occasionally, with or without the A/C on. Shifting into nuetral (I've got an auto) smooths the revs. Dealers all say it's normal.

That is a good comparision, it feels as if the AC compressor is on!

Yep. When I first felt this I went back to the dealer, and they told me it was normal and all Maxima's do it. So I test drove three other 2k3's, and...they all do it.
