Yep, it's a 2nd Gen. I had a 1st Gen '83 that I got from my Mom. It was the best thing. It even talked to you... "right door is open"

The 2G put the Maxima on the Map!! And it was definitely more of an entry level luxury car than the sports sedan it became with the 3G. Also, didnt the SE have a "sonar suspension" system??

But now, it's a FWD. At least nissan had the right idea for a RWD at the beginning.

When we were in high school my friend's grandmother had an early 80's 200 SX or something--believe it or not they were considered nice back then. Not every car had a "moonroof" and power windows and talked to you back then. Believe me, we have it easy. Work at Kwik E Mart and drive a 40,000 SUV, it didn't work that way in the old days when we were gleams in our fathers' eyes. People didn't think they could actually spend their ways out of a recession the way people on the forum have stated.
