Rotten egg smell from vents

Hey guys...

I was driving with 8 people in the car (yeah I know, a little overloaded, but I was the only one in any condition to drive) and I started smelling something that smelled like rotten eggs when I turned on the heat. I only drove with that many people for like 10 or 15 minutes.

It didn't go away after I drove the car about an hour later with just me in it, and I pushed it hard to make sure nothing was wrong. It doesn't smell like it's from the exhaust - it's when I turn on the heat or AC. Should I worry about this?

Maybe it was a sulfuric smell from outside? Did you have the hot air being generated, or circulating in from outside through the engine?

I had the air circulating in from outside,

I went for a drive today and everything seemed normal, so it may have just been a fluke?

you know, another thought crossed through my head...that stupid sewage treatment place by my apartment always smells bad, might have just been that. I think I feel stupid.

Don't feel stupid. If your performance seems to be dropping off along with the odor, its not the sewage treatment place, its your cat, otherwise, stinky sewage plant

Bacteria in the system could be the culprit. Make sure u use the A/C or Heat (depends on the climate) regularly (read: daily) to avoid buildup.
