air/fuel gauge install???

air/fuel gauge install???

i know this has been talked about somewhere. i used the search function and didn't find squat. i just want to know how can i install my air/fuel gauge??? where exactly do i run the wires to? the gauge that i have is an indiglo autometer lunar air/fuel gauge. if there is a write up about this please give it to me. thanks.

It should just be power and ground and then run to the 02 sensor wire I think

I'm about to take mine out...it's a totally useless rice show

I agree it's just a light show, we don't need it at all. But if you like it go ahead. James is right, power which you can get from the dimmer (it's better since it will dim when you use the dimmer) or parking lights(always bright), ground it to metal and then tap the o2 from the ECU and thats it.

From what I hear the really good AF meters are a few hundred bucks..I'd only go that route if I was Boosted, and in that case many prefer the EGT meter

ive heard that most a/f gauges are crap but the ones that come with a separate 02 sensor are good similare to the wideband o2's when you dyno tune your car but they are alot more than the cheapys

so all i have to do is just run the one wire for the O2 sensor that comes straight out of the ECU and thats it??? cuz i ran that wire straight to the O2 sensor under the car and nothin' happened but im gonna try it comin' out of the ECU. thanks guys for ur help.

Even done the right way you'll still get nothing half the time.

I took the time and did mine correctly and the gauge doesnt give any sort of reading about half the time...and then the rest of the time just randomly blasts back and forth with a spotty light show

I feel like an idiot ricer at night cuz the light show is pretty noticeable (and embarrassing)

N34JZ feels the same....he always tells me that.
