I just picked up my 03 GLE Max and I have to say I am not pleased with several things. I can see many of them are already spoken for in the TSB's on the forum.
For instance, the car has less than 100 miles on it and the brakes shudder during stopping above 30mph. I called the dealer and they said the problem would go away.. I told him I beg to differ and am bringing the car to him on Friday.
The Bose 'Blows' man! I can't believe how $hitty this thing really sounds. The volume control is really awkward and the volume shoots up with a few notches. The bass performance suks for a 'Blows' system, and the midrange and vocals are surpressed. I just bought the car and am not willing to put in a nother stereo like some of you guys. Has anyone gotten warrantee work on their Bose stereo...?
There are a few squeaks and rattles also which are annoying too.
Oh well it's mine now....

I'll see what happens at the dealer..

The car could have been sitting quite a while, and the rotors rusted. Maybe to the point that they now feel warped. The Bose system can be upgraded with Polk tweeters to take care of the highs. Come on over to the 5th gen forum, there is a ton of info....
