Re: making an injen louder?

Pour some rice in to the intake. That will make it louder.

The intake was designed to give cold air to the engine to increase HP. Making noise is only a side effect. It was never designed to make noise.

Bigger filter should make it louder, but I have to agree with Zumble. It's not meant to make noise, its meant to give better performance.

what do you guys think of one of these type of filters? they appear much larger then the injen one.

Changing the filter WILL NOT make a difference. Get rid of the tubing. It will get louder.

I put a larger K&N on my Injen. There isn't much of a sound difference. If you have a filter on there that works, I'd just recommend leaving it there.

Just remember what else is down where the filter is: the fans. If you get a bigger filter, you may not have enough clearence for it. I've heard of people not having enough clearence for the regular injen filter.
