2000 manual w/ greddy vs. a stock 2002 max auto

I lost to a stock, auto, 2002 maxima by a half a car length at 70 mph. I am a 2000 maxima, have greddy, ghetto airbox mod and a manual. Does this sound right? We both had good launches

id say that sounds about right, my advice would be to get a y pipe and run again. ive seen some lightly modded 2k-2k1 run the newer auto stock and get it handed to them pretty bad. it just depends on the driver and the condition. if you knew the guy, did he shift the auto off the line or leave it in drive?
