Funny, I've read that Nissan dealers never gave out rentals when doing warranty work...

Took my car into the dealer for a few rattles/creaks last week and when I picked it back up it had a whirring sound coming from the passenger side wheel when going more than 35MPH. Took it back and was told it was a bad wheel bearing. They ordered a replacement and said not to go out of town with the car.

Took the car in this morning to have the bearing replaced and they told me the hub had been torn up by the bad bearing and they couldn't put it back together. The new hub most likely won't arrive until thursday so he talked with Nissan and got me a rental car. I didn't even have to ask/beg/threaten... I was actually suprised.

I haven't picked up the rental yet but I wouldn't be suprised if it's a Neon or Geo Metro though. Oh well, better than nothing.

I have gotten a rental car once from the dealer they try to give you a car comparible to your car... I got a Grand Prix...

 

I have been unsuccessfull in getting a rental twice, but they did offer to drive me to work.

 

I got stuck with a cavalier. Sure makes me appreciate my max!

 

I have gotten rentals all three times my Max has been at the dealership. The first two times were warranty work. I got a Neon both times. Right now I have a Chevy Tracker (I'm a Jeep Wrangler guy so it really sucks). This last time is not warranty work but they messed something up last time it was in and they said they "owed me". So I got a rental. It really does make me miss the Max. I miss the luxury with power!!!

 

You should compare notes with ICE... he loves Cavalier rentals.
