Degreasing the engine...quick question.

I want to degrease the engine today.
It desperately needs it.

Question is:
Besides the air intake in the front and the battery what else do I
need to cover? Please make reference to where the part is in the engine bay when answering.

Thanks

Maybe I've been lucky but I've always gone to the carwash and I don't cover anything and never had a problem. On my S-10 I did that and once I had to wait about 30 minutes before it would start. But that was because it had a carberator.

Once in a while I will spray down my engine compartment with a light spray from the hose, but I don't cover anything. The only thing I worry about is the Injen filter, but I dry that off after I am done spraying. Probably a good idea to avoid spraying fuse boxes or sensors too much.

It couldn't hurt to cover the fuse/relay box by the battery even though it's already covered.

just figure on covering any exposed electrical things. Fusebox and etc... Some times you may find that one cleaning wont get through the grease if its really bad... another session or two might do it.
