Can the Injen "whistle" be stopped?

That damn whistle, well, its more like a squeaky belt at low speed and between 2 and 3K rpm. Can that be stopped? It gets on my nerves more and more.

If you're talking about moderate acceleration between 2-3k rmp, then its not the injen whistling, thats the engine pinging, it's a common thing when the weather starts to warm up. I've found that it is not as loud when I use BP gas; I used to use HESS & it was super loud and annoying.

Hess gas is garbage George... go to BP on Northern and 218th St (cheapest in Bayside) or use any Exxon/Mobil

You have a constant whistle? mine doesn't! I do get a quick hiss when I first hit the throttle but it's only there for a second. Make sure everything thing is nice and tight and you don;t have a leak somewhere.

Yeah, there a quick and inexpensive fix for it. Remove it and go with the Ghetto Air Box mod, no whistling sounds, just a mean roar when you stomp on it.

I have an '01 w/ 36K on the odo... I cleaned my TB, and the 'whistle' is less pronounced... perhaps even chenged in pitch... but still there.
