fog lights

does anyone know if i can install factory fog lights even though my 96 didn't come with them

Yes, buy the Nissan fog light kit.

Comes with everything you need to install.

Part number 999F1-7F000 for the 95-96 GLE/GXE.

http://www.jerryromenissan.com/ has them delivered for $215

do i have to change front bumper covers or just cut out the holes

I believe you only have to cut out the little squares covering where they go.

how much would it cost to have a dealership install these? i just dont feel ok cutting holes into my bumper.

Cuts pretty easy with a sharp, box opening knife. You can see the area that has to be cut out on the bumper. The kit even has templates for left & right sides along with a finisher to put on the edge.

I wouldn't pay the dealer for this one. You will have to replace the turn signal switch also and add a relay in the relay box 1 (all included in the kit). I bet a dealer would charge up to two hours labor to do this - at about $60/hr, that's pretty expensive.
