Aftermarket Air Intake w/ stock scoop?
Aftermarket Air Intake w/ stock scoop?
I know I've seen posts where people said they left their air scoop on after putting in a new intake, but I'm wondering if anyone had to rig up anything to keep the scoop in securely?
On my '03 the scoop attaches to the front lip, and to the airbox. Without the airbox in place, the scoop is basically just hanging on the front of the car... that doesn't seem very safe.
I'd like to put the scoop back in, but I'm having a hard time trying to find a way to secure it.
Thanks...

tubing!
Hey WEAPON R sells a kit- They call it a ram air kit designed for
their Dragon filter heads-that is basically flex tubing with
an air scoop that gets mounted behind the lower valence area
and it connects to the filter directly -wonder if it does
any justice gettin it?

I ended up using a 5" corner bracket from Home Depot (god I love that store) and a couple zip-ties.
Here's a pic of my solution... sorry it's so crappy, I took it in poor light w/ my cellphone.
