Remote trunk opening issue

Anyone have the same problem I have. When you click the remote to open the trunk, the lid will just unlock but not open wide up. I know from renting a lot of buick century's that the lid will open wide up completely. I'm going to look into fixing this, wanted to see if anybody's already solved this.

Yep, mine too. Can't say that this particularly bothers me though...

I think this is normal. People's w/o a spoiler opens up wide, but the weight of the spoiler just lets it pop open a bit...mine doesn't fly up either, but I don't mind.

Mine doesn't at all, doesn't move, just unlocks. Stack of dynamat plus the carpeting dynamatted might do that, but mine never moved much with no spoiler.

It's normal for a Max with a spoiler. And the dynamat is probably more weight than a spoiler. If you want to fix it you have to replace the trunk struts and get stronger ones. Does it really bother you that much? I personally like the way it doesn't open all the way because if I can't get to the trunk right away it doesn't call out to thieves...I keep a lot of stuff in my trunk, nice stuff.
