Foglights for 3rd gen gxe

I'm about to purchase a 1993 Max GXE and notice that these models don't have foglights. Is it possible to get them installed, and if so how?

yes it is. They sell a GXE fog light kit fairly cheap. Call Courtesy Nissan and ask for the maxima.org discount.

Or you can always put aftermarket lights on.

I put SE fogs on my GXE because I have a stillen front lip and the factory SE fogs look good in the lip. All the wiring was there so all I had to do was put a relay in, fuse in, switch (had one off parts car) and plug everything up and turn it on.

Check it out

If you go with aftermarket lights, but still want them to wire into the stock foglamp switch, check this out:

That works well IF...

Your car is wired from the relay box back to the dash. not all the maxima's from our generation are (as I can assure, mine was not) and some more complex wiring is required to make it work with the stock switch. That's the sorta stuff in that write up.

if i already have stock fogs, and i want to switch to aftermarkets, i dont have to go through the relay and all that right, just swap out old ones and connect wires?

correct. all u have to do is just disconnect ur old fogs and just splice wires on ur new ones and just connect them and bolt them into place. u don't need to go into the relay box to do this unless u wanna re-wire them which craig brace has a write-up on it as well.

good luck,
rick
