Getting hesitation TSB done thursday...

The nissan service manager said they couldn't detect the hesitation but they would do it anyway without me having to argue or anything to that effect, so I was happy. Plus, mine was an early production 2k2 6-speed so they ordered a new MAF which was a shade under 500 bucks! He said the MAF takes about 15 minutes to swap and reprogramming takes like an hour and a half.. Does that sound right?? I'm anxious to see the difference now.

You may need the ECM flash but will NOT get a new MAF.

Another question, which hesitation does this TSB fix? I haven't noticed much of a hesitation on my Max lately - then again i could have just gotten used to it by now.

Is it the delay after pressing on the pedal coming from a full-stop or is it the one where there's a slight delay when cruising/letting go of pedal and pressing on it again?

Mine is a 2K and its at the dealer right now too. Their master tech of 17 years can't figure out the problem and is contacting Nissan tech line today to see what to do. Im thinking the MAF is to blame. Am I eligible?

I "think" the TSB is NTB03-023 or NTB02-023...it's the year I can't remember.

Ok just got the TSB done, new MAF, reprogramed ECU. Seems to be much smoother shifting up and down through the gears. Acceleration seems to be linear as opposed to before. Still notice the throttle by wire acceleration a little bit but need to drive more to give a better analysis.

You should not pay for the MAF. It is covered under the TSB. I think it's NTB03-022 or NTB02-022. NTB03-023 will cover both the auto and the stick and I'm positive on that number.

Not to bump this up, but does the TSB cover the 03 automatic hesitation?
