Seat belt chime

It goes off every few minutes whether or not the seatbelt is fastened. Any ideas why?

I have heard of this problem befor. Something about a magnetic sensor in the seat belt track. But I believe seat belts are warrentied for life. So a dealership should fix it for free.

Have the same problem but kind of like it. Kind of reminds me of Japan. Thankfully it doesn't go off too much. For those of you who don't know...after a certain kpm there is a chime that goes off on rides in Japan. Basically tells you to slow down. But very happy that they don't have those here..cause it would be ringing all the time!!

Well, the dealer told me the chime is not covered under the lifetime warranty. Maybe I'll try another.

tell them that the sensor is fualty and that its a risk that the seat belt can disengauge by itself. can you imagine if the seatbelt starts to move by itself while your driving?
