Supercharger Pully Bolt part number
Supercharger Pully Bolt part number
Stripped the head of the bolt. I'd really like to change the pully when everything is out of the car, but I'll need a new bolt to put in there.
Anyone know that part number. I'm refering to the bolt that holds the pully to the SC.
407000-74?

Or you can order a bolt and washer directly from Vortech:

Eric, there's no need to order a bolt from Stillen. Once you get the old bolt out (I had to drill mine out) you can get the size and tpi from the remnants and get a new bolt from your local industrial nut and bolt supplier (not Home Depot). I suggest getting a grade 8 bolt. The bolt doesn't need to be that strong to hold the pulley on, but the additional strength will make it harder to strip the head next time.

Is this the kind of bolt that nut & bolt suppliers will stock, or am I going to be stuck ordering one? I want to put the engine back in this weekend, and would prefer to do the pully swap on the SC as well. Do you recall the size information so I could call around before going on a wild goose chase?
I could overnight it from Vortech...but that's $30 for a stupid bolt...not worth it.
Thanks for the help!

Speaking of Loctite, the original bolt was held in place with lots of red Loctite, so I had to heat the pulley and blower shaft with a heat gun to soften the Loctite to the point it would let go of the bolt. This was after drilling the bolt and trying to use a bolt extractor on the remaining bolt threads. If you use heat from the start you will probably have an easier time than I did.
I bought that bolt from local hardware store. it is a FHCS (flat head cap screw) and the size is....3/8-24 * 1 in. FHCS. It is highlighted in the SC partlist stickie.
Stillen part no. is 400700-76.
Instead of loctite....I use antiseize instead on all the FHCSes as Maridgrasmax recommended. no problem so far.

I used antiseize on all the bolts on the SC plate when I took them off the first time. They all came out like a charm...but I hadn't done anything with this one yet.
Thanks.
