is there anyone on 2k without break judder problem???

Is there anyone on 2k with stock OEM breaks/rotors and over 20k miles on the car and without break judder problem?

I have 55k on mine, and front rotors got warped third time few Ks ago.
So I'm just wondering is there people on this board that are not familiar with this problem.

Heh, I know I'm sure aware of the problem!!!

Plus my rear rotors are rusted, with the outer 0.5" or so having a rough appearance as if the pads aren't even touching it...

How much would a total aftermarket brake rotor/pad replacement run me? I'm seriously considering sourcing new rotors & pads from aftermarket companies (like the kind that Advance Auto or Autozone deal with, Raybestos/Bendix/Beck Arnley/etc.) for both the fronts and rears...
I'm not interested in drilled/slotted rotors as I've heard you can't get those resurfaced (I expect these new rotors to last the life of the car :-P)

Just get new rotors like stillen's and you willl have no more problems. Factory rotors suck...

I have a 2k2 with 29k on it... no problems whatsoever. And that's even after numerous high-speed stops and an accident <g>

I don't have any problems. I noticed it a little when the car was brand new but it's been fine after the rotors were broken in.

I didn't have any shudder for the first 50K miles. Then it started a few months after I had the rear brakes redone with OEM pads. Almost time for the fronts so I should know then whether it's due to the front or rear.

i've got the judder big time at stops from 50+....slower gradual stops aren't too bad but slowing down from 80 or 90 is not very comfortable

just ordered powerslots and hawk pads from custommaxima to replace the fronts, hope that does the trick

So far NONE of you answered specifically the question that I asked.
I'm not asking what to do if I have it - there is plenty threads on that.
I'm just asking is there anyone on a 2K maxima with stock break system and over 20k miles on the car without break judder. Thats all I want to know.

I have NO Judder, 2k w/ 48 kmiles. stock and drive aggressively (but not like an ***-hole, no tail-gating,etc). but my auto is considered SLOW ...

first of all its BRAKE!!!
break - to separate into parts with suddenness or violence
brake - a device for arresting or preventing the motion of a mechanism usually by means of friction

and to answer your question
i dont have the problem. 00 with 61,000 miles.

I have 78 k miles on mine...and no brake judder. When I bought the car, it had SOME....and was easily fixed with turning the rotors.

My mechanic said that the rotors are suceptible to heat...so in aggressive driving...try to pump the brakes when really laying on them.

I drive my car pretty hard, and brakes have been fine for me up to this point.

I've owned several cars... Brake judder comes from the rotors warping usually from high speed stops, and it's amplified when it's wet, makes them warp even more... It's happened on every car I've ever owned, because I quite frankly haul *** when I'm on the interstate, and believe it or not, these rotors have lasted me longer than other car's I've owned, although this car is a manual tranny, my other's were automatics... perhaps since manual's are easier on brakes, thats why...

My wife's 2k GLE has 45k miles and has never had a brake judder problem. Still on original rotors and pads.

I recently read a report that claimed that brake judder is not due to rotor warpage but rather to uneven brake pad material deposition onto rotors after hard stops:
