Anyone relocated their battery to the rear?
I used the search function and couldn't find any info.
I'd think removing 40lbs of weight from the front might help the overall feel of the Max. Where exactly should I run the wires? Should I go under the car or should I go through the interior? I know I'll need a slightly heavier gauge wire because of the distance from the rear to the front. I figure I'll mount the battery behind the back seat, left side (secured in a battery box of course). Am I missing anything?

You definitely want to increase wire size to compensate for voltage drop. The factory wire is #2; I ran #2/0 because it was on sale. I didn't do voltage drop calcs, but I think that #1/0 would be more than adequate.
I put the battery on the passenger side to compensate for my phat ****.

You might want to get an Optima battery if you're gonna do that. They don't have to vent. The sealed Optima battery kinda eliminates the poison gas in the trunk thing...
You should also consider fusing the line back to the trunk both front and rear, to protect against a dead short in a wreck.
You may want to run the wire from the engine compartment to the trunk inside a length of copper tubing. That will help prevent electronic noise (HUMMMMMMMMMMMM) when you turn on your stereo system.
