Sprint or H and r?!?!

ok well after searchin numerous times, readin the faq, reading everthing else

it seems sprint and h and r are my best choices, heres what i want:

soft ride
lil bit of drop (1.5-2)
and fairly cheap

also, i wont be gettin struts till i save some more money and it seemed these were the best on stock struts

if im totally wrong lol lemme know guys cause i gettin one pretty soon

thing is, which should i get?

to be honest with you, the sprint drop is not ideal for stock struts.. maybe on the SE struts if those are a bit stronger than GXE or GLE equipment.

I know you want to lower your ride, but I'd wait and couple any of those with at least AGX's (or any other adjustable strut)

I currently have sprint/kyb gr2 and I wish i had the bouncy stock ride even though the car is more controlled. Adjustment control over your suspension is ideal... wait til you can get struts.

Sprint and H&R are two completely different rides & drops.
How did you get stuck between those two options?

I've had both Sprint and H&R on my car (and Eibach).

If you care about looks more than anything else, get Sprint. If you want a good, sporty ride and truely elevated handling, get H&R (or Eibach).

if you want some kind of a soft ride like stock go with the h&r.

I just switched from Sprints to H&R's and I am much happier. I no longer feel like I need to pull over and see if I broke something everytime I hit a pothole or large bump. Also, I can go into so many more parking lots now that I can get over speed bumps!

My ride quality sucks with sprints, the drop looks good, but I dont think it is worth the fact that my car feels like it falls apart over bumps. I am really thiking about HRs or something else. I have KYB AGXs with the sprints too and they have blown one of my shocks already. (6 months)

Progress / H&R are about the same drop. Progress are slightly stiffer, H&R's ride better.

Guys with Hand Rs and AGXs,

Does it ride like stock or what? Cause the sprints are horrible, For example when going over bumps it feels like the entire car shakes and wobbles sideways over them. It makes it feel like the shocks are not even doing anything.... Whats the diagnosis on Hand Rs with AGXs

H&R's with Tokico up front and either GR2 or AGX in the rear.

You'll never know your dropped by the way that combo rides.

...I gotta say Sprints. I have had mine for about 4-5 months and how they handle and the stance it gives ur max is worth the harsh ride.

look and learn !!!

take a look at those two pics and tell me how much suspension travel is left there , BTW Sprints with KYB AGX.

Sprints -

Nick

save your car and go with H&R , if you still want the "slammed" look
get yourself 3gen accord.

enough said !!!

H&R Springs

I was in the same position as the person that started this thread, after hours of research and many PM's to almost EVERYONE on the org. I went with H&R's and KYB GR-2's all around. I couldnt be happier, it rides a little firmer than stock but performs 1000 times better. I love the drop, it's a nice finished look that performs...everything I have read about sprints has been...how do you say...not so good. But experiment and find whats right for you.

I have the sprint/agx combo and I have no complaints. The ride is a bit stiff, but I don't run into a lot of rough roads so I can't complain. When I do go over some bumps, it doesn't fell like my car is going to fall apart...

hehe...i jus got my sprint springs today now jus waitin for GR2. btw for those who are runnin sprint + AGX, waz ur setting? cuz GR2's settin is 2 in the front, 4 in the back on a AGX setting. i'm jus curious how stiff/soft u guys are runnin on ur shocks. i mite get another set of rear or front AGX depends on the ride quality in the future. let me know.

have i mentioned how much i hate Sprint/GR2?

I'd like AGXs but i'd rather trade my sprints and possibly some cash for some H&R springs
