alternator/AC belt change?

Was wondering if there was a link to a post on how to change an alternator/ac belt, or if anyone could give me a blow by blow. I see that you have to go from underneath the max to do this...
Thanks!

I did this a few weeks ago when I replaced my alternator. It's an easy job that shouldn't take you too long. The belt runs around the alternator and a/c and its tension is adjusted by a movable idler pulley (its fairly small and pushes down on the belt).

I've linked to pictures from Frank's motorvate website, because as usual he has the best pictures. If this is unacceptable Frank, let me know and I'll delete them immediately.

1. Jack up the car and rest it on a sturdy pair of jackstands.
2. Remove the splash cover that runs vertically on the passenger side of the car. This will give you good access to the area you need.
3. Loosen the bolt in the centre of the idler pulley a little. Make sure you do this before you turn the belt tensioner adjusting bolt. People have forgotten this step and snapped the tensioner.

4. Turn the adjuster bolt to raise the idler pulley, loosening the belt tension.

5. After this, the belt will slide off. Installation is the reverse of removal.
