Could I please get some quick help on how to get my corner light off?

I'm trying to do the brighter corners (or parking light, the ones right beside the headlights) and I can't get the cover off. I took out the screw as instructed on http://www.danimsta.com/ but they still seem stuck. I don't want to break anything. Any suggestions?

ok, stick a flat head screwdirver and stick it inbetween the headlight and corner light, u will see a ball and socket type joint. stick hte screwdriver inbetween the joint and twist. that should pop it out

You sir, are truly a King among men. You make Gandhi look like a child pornographer. Haha, naw but really though, thanks for the tip. It did just the trick.

Ok, so it took longer than I expected but I put in some Xtravisions and orange corner bulbs. I finished just as the sun went down. It looks really good. I was gonna do the brighter corners mod but I gave pretty firm pressure and that top nub wasn't low enough to fit where the bottom one goes and I didn't really feel like risking a broken bulb on a friday night when I'm about to go out. How hard can you really push on those bulbs without breaking them? I might do the brighter corner thing later now that I know how to get the corner off easy. Thanks again Kev.

Peace.

Darn....didn't know that. I posted a message just two days ago with the same question. I got great advice except for the part about "sticking the screw driver in between the joint and twist" part. I just assumbed by pulling hard and straight it would just pop the ball out from the joint. But instead, I ended up braking the plastic bracket (the ball was still in the joint, but the corner lamps came off =/). What my question is, and what I'm hoping, is this ok after i put the light assembly back ? I mean I figure the screw under the hood would be strong enough to hold the lamp in....also I would only be concerned about water, condensation, winter snow, etc. getting in. Any thoughts ?

duck tape it, or use silcone to seal it up. that way nothing gets in the corner lamp. also if u want to know if it is gonna stay, when it is screwed in--pull onit a little and see how mcuh it moves

Where or what should i duct tape ? Also, if i use silicone to seal it, would there be a problem is, let's say, I had to take off the lamp assembly off again ?

good point, it might break again. you can cut hte nub off and use silicon or buy a new corner lamp for 30$

It's ok. I'll just take a chance that it won't fall off. It's better than shelling out 40-80 for two head lamp assemblies when they're not even broken yet. Thanks anyways !!!

weeelllllll...the top nub isnt supposed to go in the bottom...its the other way around. you clip the top and tape over it. then put the bottom nub where the top should be. i just did this two weeks ago and its soooo easy. such a quick little mod but makes the max look soo much better. in my opinion anyway. give it a try anyone who hasnt
