Dropped another MEVI screw in my engine!

Well, this time the car wasn't running.

This past weekend I got around to removing the butterfly's and rod and sanding the rod down so it would rotate freely. I'm not sure why, but it just wouldn't turn. I had to take a lot of material off the rod, but now it works just perfectly.

I did drop a screw into the lower intake manifold. Thankfully the intake valves on that cylinder were closed, so I was able to get it by removing the lower intake manifold and using a magnet. If the intake valves would have been open I would have fished it out from the spark plug hole, which would have been a royal PITA. Bullet dodged.

The MEVI rocks! The pull on the top end compared to before is crazy! I'm going to the track tonight with the MEVI, 3.33" pully, SCCAI, ACT clutch, poly mounts, and new(er) engine. I ran 13.9's at 100-103mph last time (before all those mods), so I'm hoping for 13.6's tonight.

Thank God. I thought you were going to say you fubar'd another motor.

I'm going to the track tonight too. Hoping for low 15s (going to be 104 today, running in total street trim)

If I did that again, the title and post would have contained a lot more profanity!

I used loctite (red). Matter of fact the screws were already loctite'd in there when I took it all apart...they were suprisingly easy to get out. I could feel it *crack*, but I expected it to be a lot more difficult.

That little *crack* is the difference between heaven and hell. But you already know that, Eric. I'm relieved it wasn't what I thought when I first saw your subject title.
