Anyone put on a camber kit after drop?
Anyone put on a camber kit after drop?
Went in for an alignment today, the service guy recommended I get a camber kit if I want my tires to last longer. So it looks like im holding off on that alignment until I decide whether a camber kit is worth the extra $ i'll fork out. Apparently the wheels are tilted inward which will lead to quicker wear on the inside tire tread. So far I have one quote for a kit and installation for $120. Plus the alignment will add another $50. Ugh... the price I pay for maintenance. Anyways im assuming the camber kits are generic? Or is there a quality difference? And will the difference it makes be worth spending for?
The guy that installed my springs said that the Max's have a ton of camber unjustment built in. He said any shop that told me I needed a camber kit was justtrying to make money - he was right. First shop said they couldn't adjust it but would sell me a camber kit. Guess what? Second shop did it with no problem and with adjustment to spare. Go somewhere else.
