Then I posted a couple of polls for clutches (Unorthodox Racing stage 1 vs ACT stage 1) and flywheels (Unorthodox Racing vs Fidanza).

Despite the overwhelming response in favour of the Fidanza Flywheel, I decided to go with the Unorthodox Racing flywheel because it is in fact a bit lighter... I'll take all that I can get. Outside of that I would imagine that both the flywheels are the same... ?

Now, that being said, I read about a few guys destroying their 3rd gear with the ACT stage 1 clutch. I am a good driver when it comes to taking care of a 5-spd. However on the track I will power shift and I will do mid-range RPM slides (if I make a mistake, then it becomes a drop). So I thought that since I am getting the UR flywheel it would match up quite nicely with the UR stage 1 clutch. What do you guys think about that?

Lastly, Custom Maxima is out of stock on the UR stage 1 clutch. Does anyone have any other places that I could buy at a good price?

Tell us know you like the Unorthodox ultra light unit. I've read about one other guy that had one. Said drivibility suffered so much that he didn't recommend light flywheels(but this was before the Fidanza/Stillen units came out) anymore. When he bought his, the Unothodox unit was the only one available.

 

Custom Maxima is all out of the Unorthodox Racing Stage 1 clutch. Where else can I buy it? I did a search on Google and saw it on www.importperformanceparts.net however it costs about $35 more than Custom Maxima, over there.

Are there any other sources?

 

bump... I'm still looking for a source for the UR stage 1 clutch. I need to order on Monday.
