Well.. beating on the old car and she decided to lock up on me.

It stays in 3rd gear. Or OD if I go fast enough. It is driveable.. but No 1st gear,2nd gear or Reverse.

I tried the resetting of the TCM.. I got a BUNCH of codes.. but it still is in fail safe mode...

any thoughts?

 

just fyi.. my car wasnt in safe mode and the same thing happened to me. bye bye transmission... may be different for you.

ive got a low mileage tranny sitting 20ft from this computer in my garage

 

Baggs, you can try using my TCM from my car. You have my ECU, so why not try my TCM?????? It is worth the effort to see if your tranny is gone or not......

 

I have heard that.. I am waiting thisone out.. looking at that though...

Erik- he biggest thing I do not want to do is replace anything that is not broken.

 

so have you figured out whats up with it? wasnt cbr trying to get rid of his built auto tranny.
