Just got a call from the Dealer

I took it in this morning to try to get my wheel bearings replaced under warranty. Well, they just called me back and say "Sounds like the aftermarket springs and struts are the problem." I said no, they are not. He then politely transfers me to the tech and he says he hears "all kinds of sounds" but primarily, my aftermarket intake. He now wants to drive it with me to dupilicate the problem. My damn wheels are about to fall off the the tech thinks its my intake. Anyways, thought i'd share-->wish me luck getting them done warranty style with 56k on the car. I think the service writer's pushing for me but the tech wants to get paid. Are there any TSB's out for wheel bearing's for a 2k? Thanks

i dont know of any tsbs for wheel bearing but even if there was, its out of the 36k/3yr. warranty so they have no obligation to do it for no cost. if he thinks its the intake, offer to put the stock box back on and take them for a drive.

Just took my car in for a wheel bearing. The "drivetrain" section of the Powertrain warranty on the 2k Maxima covers "drive shafts, final drive housing and all internal parts, propeller shafts, universal joints, Bearings , seals and gaskets". This is right out of my 2K Warranty book under the 5 year/60,000 Powertrain warranty section. I hope my dealer doesn't give me a hard time.
