ok. so i ordered the HKS SSQV.. did you know the opening of the actual BOV is only 30mm?? and that the flange really doesnt matter what size it is, its just to fit the curvature of the piping its going on.... huh..


i ordered the Gold fins but got the purple ones by accident...

anyone have the purple sound insert? i heard its really quiet(er) than stock..

anyone have the Gold inserts?

 

I have the "stock" purple insert that came with the BOV. It is LOUD, ask Bags, Jay25, Bijan, etc. Even with the purple insert, you will NOT be dissapointed. Any word on how much louder the gold is over the purple?

 

i heard that gold is insanely loud..
but i'm only boosting 8psi.. compared to supras running at 15+ psi

 

how do they compare to turboxs RFL's? I heard one on a subie wrx and it was extrememly loud. I'm interested in getting a ssqv but i don't want something that is going to be like the RFL.

 

Well I did say that the flange size was for the curvature. But then when you said it was for the opening I pondered about that same thought you just mentioned. Wasnt going to say anything since I dont know as much as you do on these things.
