ecu self diagnostic screw

I own a 2k maxima gxe, 50,000 mi. the cel came on and I have checked the ecu diagnostic test mode selector screw, but the ecu does not have one. Anybody know why there is not one?. I will bring it into Auto Zone.

you need to have an OBD-II scanner... the 5th gen and up ECUs do not have a diagnostic screw.
