doing some more digging, this guy, on another board (towinfo.com) is/was looking for a rollback tow truck.. in other words, one that has a flatbed which you can roll a car onto or off of... man this is insane.. someone should report this knucklehead..

well his has made a living doing this on ebay (look at his past sales), and he always tells people UP FRONT that it is broken or whatever, so he is off the hook as far as that is concerned, but this is rediculous.. selling stolen stuff... damnit!

Everyday I walk out of my house I am scared to look at my headlights. I know its just a matter of time. It might happen at home or while I am out but Nissan should have issued a recall or something because it is way to common now. =(

I would like to know if we can buy a AE oem headlight and replace low/high beam with the ballast/bulb from HID from '03 headlights? Is this possible?

Now for the voice of reason .... what if this guy is a legit repair shop or buys cars that insurance companies total. Wouldn't that necessitate the need for a roll back tow truck as well as having a large quantity of used lights.
A Maxima gets smacked in the rear and the left side hits the car in front of it. Max totalled but right headlight still good. This guy buys the car from the insurance co. for peanuts and parts it out for profit. Or, car gets whacked in the front, breaking post on headlight. Insurance pays for new unit and he sells the old for cash. The insurance company doesn't want the damaged unit back (now this is a little shaky but, probably not illegal).
Give the guy a break unless you can prove he's a thief!

come from my husband who is a bodyshop repair person.

I think this may be stolen too, but if you look in the picture in his auction, the light is in the Nissan cardboard box the HID headlight would come in. Maybe he salvages them from junkyards or dealerships? Just a thought...

Maybe the shop is just a front. That way u can have a bunch of "stolen" hids on the shelf and everyone would think they're from wrecked cars.

this caught my eye "the rear post is missing" could that possibly be from prying the light out with a crowbar??? hmmmmm

How is it that the metal on the fenders and the hood bend so easy. I know people do not want to talk about how to steal the stuff but i am not asking that. Are they using crowbars or something

I tend to think he is legit, he is selling fenders and other crap. Someone cut the front my wifes Eclipse Spyder a few years ago and stole the entire drivers side blinker light (on the side of the car)... I hate people... A $50 part and I had to have the entire front bumper replaced.
