2k 5spd w/ y-pipe, injen intake, udp.

hey guys, what would a 2k 5speed gxe run in 1/4 mile with y-pipe, injen intake, and udp? this is going to be my frist mod after i sell my old car...i just got this maxima...also, im assuming that the rsb won't do much in 1/4 mile but only just handling? i'm trying to mod my car to hit 14.5 in 1/4 mile and i just wanted to know what would be the best bolt-on's to achieve that time....reponses would be much appreciated.

The mods you mentioned should got you right at a 14.5 and maybe less providing that you get good 60ft times. If you want to see what times people have gotten. Look here. Hope this helps.

i think it depends ..it may take the addition of an upgraded ecu plus those mods to ****** 14.5

i believe the weight would hold you back, going on the assumption that your car is heavier than a 4th gen. Also tires/rims are important too ! If you have 17's or anykind of aftermarket wheels that are not light it will hold you back.

what you think ?

Have you tried running the car stock yet to see how far you are from your goal?

I don't think he's owns a Maxima anymore, but a guy down in FL had a 01 5 speed SE with a Place Racing CAI and y-pipe and he ran 14.3s@96mph with a 2.1 60' on the stock 50lb 17s. It is possible. Rare, but possible assuming you can get off the line with a 2.1 60'.

A weird trend I find is that not too many 5th gen 5spds even run at the track. A handful at best. Even that guy Russ broke into the 14's without a y-pipe. I think if more guys went and practices there woud be a difference.

A lot of the 00-01 guys either went boost or traded for 2k2's. You're right, there's not a lot of them that track their cars. They're a lot heavier and have relatively less low-end torque which makes them more difficult to launch, especially with the 17" rims. They can get the same tims as 4th gens can, but it takes a lot more driver skill to pull it off. The ones with 15" steelies (GXE) or 16" alloys delete the heavy wheel issue and are a bit quicker.

I think they are just as fast. I ran a 14.83 with intake with 2.2 60 foot. I think i can get into 14.7 with better launch.
