Wondering if you guys carry your tools in your trunk?

With the propensity for the belt to jump and lose a rib do you guys pack your tools in your trunk or do you leave them at home? I pack my Craftsman socket set as well as the other SC-related doo-dads (belt, pulleys, etc.) just in case I have to do some spontaneous road side work.

I've got a mini-socket set always in my car..a 14mm wrench to loosen the idle pully if needed, and the stock sized belt.

When I go to the track or something I take all my tools. Best to be prepared.

The times when my belt jumped and the broken rib creates a bigger hole in the hood lining I use a pair of pliers and scissors to cut off the offending piece. If I didn't have my tools handy I'd be driving home with a weed-eater engine.

Ive got a 125piece toolkit in the trunk, and so far it has helped me 3times since I re-did the turbo. The lastest one was the worst, each time these IC piping blows off, each time a different one. This time it blew off from the intercooler exit. Couldnt get to it with the bumper on, and on the hwy in the middle of ATL and Birmingham. So without any way to get it fixed, I decide F it, Im taking the front bumper off, in about 30mins I got the front bumper off and fixed the IC pipe, tighted the bolts on the Tbolts even more and put the bumper back and was good to go.

During that time a cop stopped off and asked me if I get hit cause my bumper was off, I said "No sir, Im just fixing this POS so I can get the car off the road...." He scratched his head and waited till I was done so no one ran into me since I was on the emergency ramp on an exit ramp and couldnt move the car.

ALWAYS carry at least some tools to get going, otherwise its a pain.
