Fog lights keep burning out!!!

My '98 se keeps burning out the fog lights. I just bought a new pair last month, wore gloves when I put them in, and cleaned the bulbs with the alchohol wipe that came with them. They were the Polarg H-3's. But this has happened with other bulbs also. They last for about 3wks - a month and burn out. Anybody have any ideas why?

maybe a short in the wiring. I had the same problem in my 95.. front right kept burning out.. so i switched the harness from left to right, and the left one burnt out. had to buy a new foglamp because my left was broken, so i took the harness from the left, replaced the right one with it, and installed the new lamp+harness and no problems since..
FYI Euro Dezigns 5200K bulbs are awesome, really bright, and come with a lifetime warranty. You can get a pair of h3's shipped for around 17 dollars.

I burned out a bunch as well, cause they were all higher than 55w. If you want higher than get some that are warrantied (sp) I had some catz that were warantied for a year. They burnt out at 13 months. Oh well.

I just bought 65w h3 bulbs to replace my stock 55w h3's. Did any of you have problems using 65w bulbs in your fogs?

If you want to use high wattage bulbs you can install relays in the wiring. The relays will prevent the bulbs from burning out and the wire harness from melting. I did that with my headlights and havent had any further problems.
