Service Question

Hey guys, I'm going in for service tomorrow. My warrenty is almost up and just going in because of some door and dash rattles, windows go up slow sometimes, and a couple other minor issues. Is there anything else I should have them check out before my warrenty expires? Thanks in advance.

Thanks so much. You have been a great help. At least I'm prepared now before I go to Nissan to get screwed lol. Thanks again.

Hey guys, thanks for the interest. I dropped off the car at 6:30 this morning and it was done by 9:00 am (sounds like a bunch of b.s.). I had a nice little list going which included: speakers maing noise (stock crap, but just waiting to get some decent ones), the head unit power button works when it wants to, rattles in the dashboard, glove box and passenger side door, driver side window makes a clicking noise when it goes down about 3/4 of the way (it's not sitting correctly), hesitation off the line, and the trim on my interior door pulls (the bronze-y looking stuff) is chipped on the front driver and rear passenger doors. I also asked about the traverse link replacement (just to see what they said), also about the tranny having problems (TCM and solenoids), and if I should be concerned about MAF problems which I have heard many Maxima owners having.

I'm at my office right now so I won't see the car until 7:00 ish tonight, but I already have the uneasy feeling that I'm getting screwed. They called and said the rattle was from my service manual being in the glove box- even though I explaind it also happened when I emptied the car out- and the fact that it was a TSB (stupid me I forgot the number of it- but I will remember when I bring it back next week). They said they found nothing wrong with the speakers or the head unit. The window just needed to be greased (as per the techs remarks). And I was also told that a part was ordered to fix the hesitation I'm getting off the line. As far as the tranny, TLR, and MAF I was told they do not concern me. I'll let you guys know if the car is in any better or worse shape when I pick it up tonight. And thanks again for all the help.

Vinny

BTW- not to get off topic.. but can anyone recomend any NISSAN service dept other than KOEPPEL or STAR NISSAN in Queens, NY?

Ok guys, got my car back and for the most part it seems almost everything was done. They even changed my ignition coils. The only thing that wasn't fixed is the front driver side window. It's not sitting on the track right and when I lower the window to about 3/4 down it makes an annoying click because it shifts. But overall seems that they did what they were supposed to. Thanks again for all the info.

Its the basic 3yr/36,000 mile bumper to bumper. Everything but the chips on the trim were covered.

As for the hesitation, I was told that the ignition coils were malfunctioning. They replaced those under the warrenty. No hesitation yet, but I didn't really drive much tonight. If things change I'll post it.
