Apex adaptor is 3" , My maf is 4" ??what to do??

Apex adaptor is 3" , My maf is 4" ??what to do??

hi. i bought this intake off a org member. problem is the Intake is 3" and i THOUGHT the intake I had previously would work but no it's a 4" HOLE , any ideas on making the hole smaller?

I thought i just need the apex filter and adaptor, am i still missing something?

go buy an adaptor from ACE. 3" to 4" in the plumbing section

or buy a new maf adaptor from ebay for like 10$

You can get frankencar's apexi adapter. Not cheap but it's built like a **** brick house.

The adaptor was nothing special at all just basic bs

What exactly do you have? The filter, MAF adapter......

Filter, Apex adaptor ( i think) , its in the pic below. any ideas if this is the right thing.
I thought it was supposed to go over those slots on the outer rim of the intake for something.

can u tell by the pic. ? thanks mike, mikewest

this is how my apexi filter and frankencar adapter work:

Standard (3" I believe) MAF adapter on the MAF.

Frankencars aluminum adapter on the filter.

Silicone coupler going over both adapters connecting the two, using T-bolts to clamp down the silicone coupler.

can't tell by your pics becuse I can't see the adapter you have connected to the filter. It looks like you have a silicone coupler over the filter adapter held in place with a clamp. Is this correct? If it is, the try putting the silicone coupler over the adapter on the MAF.
