New PB, but my car is still sloooow

Really wish I knew why I can't run low 14's. This run below was the second run of the day, and I thought I was going to see 14.4's by the time the afternoon ended but I only got 2 more runs in the next 4 hours!! I sat and spun the tires on all the rest of the runs, then some 8 sec trailer queen broke and they spent an hour cleaning the track. I know if I can just pull a better 60' I can run 14.4's but that is still not fast enough. Don't know if it's worth to do any more mods or not.....

There's something holding you back in the first 1/8. On my 14.4 runs, I usually get a low 6.1 330' and low 9.3s@76-77mph in the 1/8 and this is assuming a lower 2.2 60'. The fact that you're car is showing a gain of 21mph in the last 1/8 shows your car definately has the topend. I think the 85lb weight disadvantage of the I30 and possibly greater drag of the VLSD say be sucking out those critical tenths in the first 1/8.

The good news is you ran a new PB and that if you were to run slicks and grab a 1.92 60', you'd be damn close to a 13.9. 96mph suggests Easy 14.2s with a low 2.0 60'. I feel your pain though.

Race weight is 3130, if I remember correctly, with me in the car. Which is not too bad. It may be the larger axel that the VSLD requires, don't really know.
